Citimark has obtained a development approval for a major 4,500m2 shopping centre located in the city of Thuringowa. Located on the Bruce Highway, the centre is located 15 kilometres north of the Townsville CBD in the region's prime residential growth area.
The single-level scheme of Stage one includes a 3,000m2 supermarket, 1,100m2 of specialty outlets, two free-standing fast food outlets and 270 carparks. A development approval for Stage 2 has been lodged and will consist of a 1,200m2 liquor barn and a 1,300m2 family tavern.
The site will service the region's booming northern beaches
community - over the next 15 years it is estimated that 40%
of the region's new population will be in the proposed centre's
primary catchment area.
