Construction commences on final stage of Citiprime's 17Ha QCL Darra Industrial Estate

23 May 2005

Construction has commenced on the final stage of Citiprime's 17Ha QCL Darra Industrial Estate with two of the three lots pre-committed. The development and construction deals include a 9,500m2 distribution centre and warehouse for Oztrail – a Queensland-based, world-recognised adventure gear manufacturer and a 3,500m2 printing facility for Hally Labels.

Two companies are vying for the same scheme on the remaining lot. BMD have been appointed as the civil contractor and both facilities are expected to be completed by December this year. Citiprime has attracted a number of leading Queensland, Australian and international companies to the estate including national brand operator, Direct Freight Express; US publicly listed multinational, Boise Cascade; Australia's largest freight management company, Star Track Express and Queensland Frozen Food Supply (QFFS).

Citiprime purchased 17Ha in the QCL Industrial Estate in 2000. Citiprime is a joint venture between Citimark Properties and Prime Development Corporation.
