Construction has commenced on the final stage of Citiprime's
17Ha QCL Darra Industrial Estate with two of the three lots
pre-committed. The development and construction deals include
a 9,500m2 distribution centre and warehouse for
Oztrail – a Queensland-based, world-recognised adventure
gear manufacturer and a 3,500m2 printing facility for Hally
Labels.
Two companies are vying for the same scheme on the remaining lot.
BMD have been appointed as the civil contractor and both facilities
are expected to be completed by December this year. Citiprime has
attracted a number of leading Queensland, Australian and international
companies to the estate including national brand operator, Direct
Freight Express; US publicly listed multinational, Boise Cascade;
Australia's largest freight management company, Star Track
Express and Queensland Frozen Food Supply (QFFS).
Citiprime purchased 17Ha in the QCL Industrial Estate in 2000.
Citiprime is a joint venture between Citimark Properties and Prime
Development Corporation.
